Disney is Sending Me on a San Francisco Treat!

#Cars3event

As a blogger I have way too many blogger friends. And when something good comes along, it spreads like wildfire. Or rather, not fire but dust. Pixie Dust.

See, Disney really knows how to take care of its bloggers, offering some amazing opportunities in the form of press trips with once-in-a-lifetime access and opportunities. Thanks to Disney, I’ve flown out to L.A. to interview Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Kevin Costner, Ginnifer Goodwin and yes, even Kermit the Frog!

It’s been a while mainly due to scheduling on my part, but I’m happy to say that I received some extra glittery pixie dust in my email recently. Not only am I going on another fun-filled, action-packed Disney Adventure for Mommy’s Busy, Go Ask Daddy. But I’m going to one of my favoritest cities in the world: San Francisco!

Why San Francisco? Well, it’s home to one of the most amazing, talented animation studios around. Yep, that’d be Pixar!

I’ll be heading out to the land of clam chowder and sourdough for a huge Disney adventure from March 27 through March 29. And you can follow along with hashtags #Cars3Event, #ABCTVEvent, #TheToyBox, and #PuppyDogPalsEvent.

So what exactly am I (and 24 other bloggers) going to be doing and seeing in San Francisco later this month? Here’s a quick rundown:

Cars 3

Talk about speed! Not only will I be attending a reception at Pixar Studios (cross that one off the Bucket List!), but we’ll be seeing some advance footage from Cars 3, which doesn’t race into theaters until June. Plus, we’ll get to screen Lou, the short animated film running before Cars 3.

Even more insane though is that us bloggers get to attend a press day at Sonoma Raceway for Cars 3 where we will interview Director Brian Fee, Producer Kevin Reher and a number of other animators.

Oh, and did I forget to mention that we’ll also get to take a lap around the racetrack in a real racecar?!? And learn how to quickly change out a tire at a pit stop? I have enough trouble changing a tire super slowly in my driveway, so this should really be interesting.

Born in China

I’m also really excited to get an early screening of the newest Disneynature film Born in China (opening in theaters on April 21). This one’s all about pandas, so I expect a lot of “awwwws” from the audience. Myself included.

The Toy Box

#ABCTVEvent

We also get to have some ABC TV fun and I can’t think of a more perfect show for me. We’ll get to screen The Toy Box, a new series that basically boils down to the ultimate toy-competition. This eight-episode series hosted by Eric Stonestreet (“Modern Family”) premieres on Friday, April 7th at 8/7c on ABC and sees real inventors get an opportunity to bring their toy concepts to life courtesy of Mattel and Toys “R” Us. They’ll be presenting their ideas in front of a group of mentors, including Pixar Creative Director of Consumer Products Jen Tan.

Puppy Dog Pals

And finally, we’re going to get a sneak peek at an adorable new Disney Junior show called Puppy Dog Pals. It stars some fun-loving pug puppy brothers named Bingo and Rolly and is sure to feature some silly adventures chock full of positive life lessons. Sounds really cute and personally, I’m hoping we get to play with some puppies while we interview Sean Coyle (executive producer) and Diane Ikemiyashiro (Disney Junior creative executive) about the series.

Knowing the team behind this trip, I’m sure there’s plenty more surprises in store for us and I won’t have more than a minute to myself. These trips are always crazy jam-packed.  So be prepared to start following along later this month to learn all about these great Disney projects!

  1. I can’t wait to have more than a few seconds to talk with you. It’s always fun to meet our fellow bloggers but more so when we share such an amazing trip.
