The Disney Mega Snow White Prize Package (Over $150 in value!)

If it weren’t for those Seven Dwarfs, Snow White would still be sleeping in the woods only dreaming about her Prince Charming. Those funny little miners with names like Doc and Sleepy and Dopey definitely came together to save someone they cared about.

Oddly enough, the blogger community can be as powerful, caring and story-altering as those dwarfs. It’s actually one of the most wonderful things I’ve discovered about bloggers over the years. Sure we come in all shapes and sizes, and our blogs cover so many different things in so many varied styles. But behind it all, bloggers are part of one incredibly powerful community.

More times than I can count, bloggers have joined forces to help others in need. Nobody blogs about this or shares stories, but I belong to so many groups where bloggers chip in a few dollars each to help another blogger in need. Whether it’s helping out with Christmas presents. Offering legal advice during a tumultuous time. Or even just being there with a shoulder to cry on, bloggers most definitely exhibit the best a community can offer.

Recently, my blogging friend Tiffany shockingly lost her husband Sean. He was only 35 years young and unexpectedly passed away. Tiffany has two adorable young children named Jasmine (8) and Seanie (4), and is now left as the sole breadwinner to take care of them.

It didn’t take long for the blogging community to get behind her not just in spirit, but financially as well. Thanks to Teresa from Making it All Work, a GoFundMe account was set up in case anyone wants to donate to help Tiffany and her kids get through this toughest of times.

I can’t even imagine what Tiffany and her kids are going through right now. I do know that she thankfully has a ton of support from her loving family, as well as from the online blogging community. She’s an incredibly sweet and giving person, so it’s no surprise that others are giving back to help her out.

I figured I’d ask our PR friends over at Disney if they had any merchandise they could offer up as  prizes for a giveaway in honor of Tiffany, and, well… it’s really no surprise at all that Disney came through.

This giveaway is being run in conjunction with a number of other blogs to help raise awareness (and traffic!) to Tiffany’s Fabulous Mom Blog. Please visit her site, follow her social networks, and just show you care. A simple retweet or even comment on a blog post can go a very long way towards putting a smile on her face. And if you click through any of the affiliate links on her blog, you’ll be helping out one blogging family that’s helped so many others out before.

  3. I had already entered on another blog, but I made a small donation to the go fund me page. It wasn’t a huge donation, but I am so sorry for her loss. May God watch over the family.

  4. Quite an extensive background on the movie and who participated in it. I’ve seen the movie many times and my children love Disney as much as I do.

  5. Absolutely amazed that they brought in real animals for the animators this has been one of my all time favorite movies since I was a kid! I will be praying for your friend and her children!

  6. I loved learning that Disney Studios brought in live animals for the animators and the squirrels still climb and run in the trees, Interesting to read and learn about a well loved classic.

  7. Is this where I leave the comment….not on the other post? I read the post and I didn’t know that they brought in read animals for the animators to copy. That’s pretty cool and probably why the animation is so excellent.

  8. I did not realize that Disney Studios in Burbank, CA was where Snow White was created and they used real animals brought to the studio for inspiration.

  10. I read Tiffany Snow’s post on Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. It is true that it is a well-loved Disney. I am a senior, and Snow White was my favorite children’s movie(along with Bambi). I loved her beauty and kindness. I loved the courtesy and consideration when she looked after the Seven Dwarfs. Her treatment of them is a challenge to all of us. I watched in horror as she ate the ‘poisoned’ apple, and rejoiced when the Prince helped her out of her ‘trance.’
This is a classic and I am happy to see later generations enjoy these updated movies.

  12. I cannot even imagine what she must be going through. Im loving seeing so much support for her from around the blogging community. It warms my heart when any community comes together like this. Sometimes, the goodness left in this world gets lost on the chaos. This is a beautiful thing you have done for her and the kids. I am not a blogger, just a reader and a sweeper, but I read many blogs and will make sure to visit Tiffanys page often as she gets through this tough time.
