Beauty and the Beast – Disney’s Tale as Old as Time Gets Retold

#BeOur Guest

As much as I love Disney’s The Little Mermaid, it’s the fish film’s follow-up that holds a real special place in my heart.

I first saw Beauty and the Beast in college with my girlfriend (a.k.a. My future wife). We both absolutely loved it and I’d even go around doing my best Beast impression as I’d burst out into song and start belting this infamous line: “She glanced this way. I thought I saw. But when we touched, she didn’t shudder at my paw!”

Years later, we saw the amazing Beauty and the Beast show on Broadway (the beast transformation is sooo cool!) to keep the magic alive. We’ve probably seen the animated Disney film a few dozen times I’m sure, and listened to the soundtrack a zillion and one times.

So now, I’m crazy pumped that Disney’s putting together a live-action re-telling of Beauty and the Beast! This tale as old as time gets re-imagined with the same iconic characters and musical numbers that we all know and love.

Toss in a stellar cast, and I cannot wait for Beauty and the Beast to hit theaters! Though unfortunately, I’ll have to since it doesn’t hit theaters until March 17, 2017.

Who’s in it? Some pretty amazing actors including Emma Watson (Hermione from Harry Potter!!!), Dan Stevens, Luke Evans, Kevin Kline, Josh Gad (Olaf!!!), Ewan McGregor, Stanley Tucci, Ian McKellen and Emma Thompson.

The first sneak-peek of the film is out and if you’re a fan of the original animated movie, you’ll most likely get chills from it. Take a look:

  1. That’s a great poster and a great teaser trailer. I hope this turns out to be their best live-action fairy tale.

  2. Belle is my daughter’s favourite princess. Now that she is a teenager it is great to see Disney bringing out a new version. We can’t wait to go see it.

  5. Beauty and the Beast is my absolute favorite Disney movie. I normally don’t like it when they make live action movies that were originally cartoons but I am going to have to see this one. It has an amazing cast. Thanks for sharing the teaser trailer, I hadn’t seen it yet.
