$50 Lowe’s Gift Card Giveaway (Ends 4/2)

Giveaway $50 Lowe's Gift Card

Bob the Builder’s got nuthin’ on me. Same with Handy Manny. No siree. When it comes to completely messing up home projects, they bow down to the master.

Yes, I can hang a picture on the wall. Kind of. I can put office furniture together, assuming the directions are in English. But when it comes to any major house renovation, my best tools are a phone and the number of a good contractor.

I’ve always wanted to learn to build, though. I think it’d be so neat to put together my own house! That’s why I’m pretty excited for NBC’s new show “American Dream Builders.” Hosted by interior designer and best-selling author Nate Berkus, the show takes 12 top designers and home builders and pits them against each other in a battle to the death! No, wait. That’s not right. Sorry, I just saw Gladiator on TV the other night.

No, no. American Dream Builders follows a dozen of the nation’s best builders as they compete for the title of the Ultimate Dream Builder, not to mention a whopping $250,000 cash prize. It’s a mega home competition that’s brought to you by the producers of Survivor and The Bachelor.

To help kick off this new show, you can enter for a shot at winning $100,000 in products and services from Lowe’s, along with a consultation with the winner of American Dream Builders! Enter the Dream It Yourself Sweepstakes now and get started building your own Dream House!

  11. Well, a whole new home would be my ultimate dream. We are currently living in a cramped two bedroom with two opposite gender kiddos. It works for now, but in a few years when our daughter gets older, she will need her own room (she is in our room now) and our son could use a bigger space than he currently has. But for now, new kitchen flooring would help update the kitchen.

  37. Hands down – the KITCHEN needs a top to bottom makeover:

Last Fall we had some unfortunate flooding which pretty much left the kitchen in ruins. The floor has to be replaced (I hated it anyway!) All of the appliances (oven, dishwasher and probably fridge too) Cabinets and counters need to be replaced – or at least refaced/resurfaqced. And the ceiling – re-plastered with a new improved ceiling fan. Oh and the lighting is terrible too – as is the awful kitchen sink…. for starters….
