My kids are 8 and 10 now, so they’re (thankfully!) well past the diapers stage. But when they were little buggers, I must’ve spent more time at our local Babies R Us than I did at home!
For all you new moms out there (especially those who recently popped out a kid), an early Happy Mother’s Day to you all! Having infants and even young kids is definitely overwhelming. I remember Allie telling me her biggest accomplishment at the time was taking a shower. Life is definitely crazy with kids and thankfully, we live in the Internet age, where you don’t even need to leave your house to go shopping!
While I think every day should be Mother’s Day (moms have THE most important job in the world, after all), Mother’s Day is the perfect time for new moms and even you moms-to-be to go shopping for all your mommy necessities! A great place to start would be to start browsing for Mother’s Day products at Babies R Us.
Here’s a few items I know Allie couldn’t have survived without:
Boppy Heirloom Pillow Giraffe
While we didn’t have this exact one, I think our Boppy was the most-used item in our house during Jason and Ryan’s early years. Allie used it all the time while nursing them, but we also used them to support the kids and do loads of “tummy time” exercises with them as they got a little older.
Bright Starts Polar Gel Teethers
No two ways about it; teething stinks. Big time. We tried loads of different teethers over the years but this type that you can stick in the freezer seemed to work best for both our boys. Something about the cold that just helps ease the pain a bit.
Ubbi Diaper Pail – Pink
We had boys and I don’t think this one was even available at the time, but I know Allie loves pink. She would’ve loved the look of this diaper pail. And trust me, if you’re using disposable diapers, you definitely want a diaper pail to store them in. Those “poop packages” pile up pretty quickly with the wee ones.
Adelina Madelina It’s A Breeze Diaper Backpack
I think Allie went through roughly 17 different diaper bags with Jason and Ryan. Her favorite overall though, was a Diaper Bag backpack. Besides coming loaded with tons of different pouches and pockets, you can sling it on your back for easy transportation.
Those are just a handful of items that spring to my mind as must-haves when it comes to Mother’s Day products for you moms! Definitely spend the extra money to get something that’s not just functional but that will make you happy. You’re going to be using these things around the clock with your kids, so make sure they keep you smiling as you push through another tough day!
