Planning a vacation is a great experience for every person who is going to be a part of it. There are a wide variety of ways that you and your friends or family members can spend your time on your next vacation. The time you spend planning your vacation in advance will be worth it. A vacation cannot truly be considered complete until you have tasted some of the local cuisine. This does not mean the local fast food places. You should do some research to find out the local restaurants that are considered to be the best in the city. You will then need to find out if these restaurants require a reservation. You would be wise to make a reservation far in advance to guarantee that you are able to get a table during your vacation. You should also find out the prices that are charged by the various restaurants. This will allow you to avoid the places that you are unable to afford.
2. Take a bus tour of the city you are vacationing in.
NYC bus tours can be a lot of fun. They allow you to see many of the best places in the Big Apple. Many of the biggest tourist destinations in the world have bus tours available for you to explore the city. You will be able to snap some nice pictures to help you remember what you saw on the tour. These tours are very popular and often sell out during the peak tourist season. This is why you should book your bus tour online prior to leaving on your vacation.
3. Go to at least one of the local museums.
You should also experience some of the local culture during your vacation. An outstanding way to do this would be to make a visit to a local museum. This will let you see some of the amazing artwork that has been created by people who live in that particular part of the world. Seeing their artwork will often give you a great deal of insight into their various customs and traditions. You should take a guided or audio tour. This will greatly enhance your appreciation for the artwork that you are looking at. It is always better to find out the story behind the creation of various paintings and sculptures.
4. Rent a bike and explore the city.
A bus tour will only take you to the most popular tourist attractions. However, renting a bike will allow you to see many parts of a city that only local people are aware of. You will be amazed at the fun and exciting places you can stumble onto by simply riding your bike around the city and having no idea where you are going. Be sure to bring a map of the city with you while you are riding your bike. This will ensure you will be able to make it back to your hotel.

Never been to a real big city like NYC or Chicago i would love to visit sometime
For a while an older sister lived in NYC, so we’d go to visit. It was so much fun!
This is so true. We went to Chicago for our vacation this year and we took the bus tour which was very informative and fun! This tour gave us ideas of more things to do and see while we were there. Definitely worth the money.
I always liike going to the museums, the zoo (if they have one) some of the historical spots. We arent too much into the fine dining. We ddo though go to the seafood places if we end up on the coast.
We havent been on vacation in decades for any length of time (more than 2 days) I do cat rescue and cant ever find anyone to do it.
