I’ve mentioned before that I currently work for TopCashback.com. It’s a wonderful company with a fabulous product that I truly do believe in. Trust me, I’ve had a lot of jobs in my life, and this is the first one in probably over a decade where I actually look forward to heading into work each and every day.
Anyways, I know so many people shop online, especially during the holidays. I also know that a zillion people never think of using basic coupons to save money when they shop online. If you get nothing else out of this article, please remember this: Before you hit the final checkout button, do a quick Google search for “STORENAME + coupon” or at the very least, “STORENAME + Free Shipping.”
Chances are you’ll save yourself a few bucks at the very least.
I have a couponing background, so that’s ingrained in my head. But ever since I’ve started working at TopCashback, I’m now telling everyone to go through a loyalty, cash-back site like TopCashback.com!
What is a cashback site?
Let me briefly explain how cashback sites normally work.
Stores (like Gap.com) pay a small commission to a loyalty site like TopCashback. Most cashback sites keep a portion of that commission (usually about 50%) and pass the rest on to their members. What TopCashback does is… well, kind of crazy if you ask me.
TopCashback gives 100% of commissions straight on to its members. That means you’ll be hardpressed to find a higher cash back rate anywhere in the country.
So how do they make money? Good question. Mainly via advertising throughout the site. With such high rates, there’s a real loyal following and thus, pretty powerful and targeted ads that work.
Sounds to good to be true? I know. But it’s not. It’s 100% legit.
I started using the site back in April and have already earned a total of $249.40 in cashback! (Yes, my username is pitfallharry. Bonus points to anyone who gets the reference!) And I did it simply by shopping the same way I always do, except I now go through TopCashback.com first.
Let me walk you guys through it.
After signing up for TopCashback (it’s 100% free to join), visit the homepage and you’ll see an assortment of deals.
Simply click on any CASHBACK button to visit that store’s page.
Alternatively, you can just type in a storename (Like “Walmart”) in the search box at the top of every page.
You’re then brought to that store’s page where it lists details on what is eligible for cashback, as well as what rate you will get back for your purchase.
After clicking through to the store, you’ll see a quick message telling you that your click has been tracked and you can then go on to Walmart (or whatever store you clicked on) and shop like normal.
The rest is all magic handled behind the scenes. After you make your purchase, the tracking finds its way back to TopCashback and you’ll get an email notifying you of the transaction and you can follow the process all the way through your Dashboard to see when you’ll get paid.
Here’s just a small sample of the many different stores I shopped at this year. When you first make a purchase, it’ll be pending until the store confirms it with TopCashback. Then once TopCashback is paid its commission from the store (usually within a few weeks), your money becomes payable and you can cash it out anytime.
Why should I use TopCashback instead of someone else?
Sure there’s competition out there and you certainly have a choice in which loyalty site to use. So what makes TopCashback different from all those other cashback sites in the country?
- It’s 100% free to join
- They give 100% of commissions straight on to you, the member
- The highest cashback rates in the country, guaranteed!
- No minimums on earnouts! Once your cashback becomes payable, you can cash out at any level. No need to have a $25 or $50 minimum like other loyalty sites.
- Multiple payout options! You can cash out in a number of ways including:
- Direct Deposit
- Amazon Gift Cards (You’ll get an extra 2.5% added to your GC!)
- American Express Gift Cards (You’ll get an extra 3% added to your GC!)
- Great customer service that gets back to you quickly (I’ve actually met the Customer Care team that’s made up of a few dozen employees dedicated to helping members get their money)
- More than 3,500 stores to shop at including: Gap, Walmart, Target, Amazon, eBay, Best Buy, GNC, Groupon, Living Social, and DisneyStore as well as services like Legal Zooom, Expedia and thousands more.
Is cashback for real?
There’s no scam here. No catch. The bottom line is that affiliate marketing is alive and well and it’s a thriving industry you may not have even known existed. Stores are paying out millions in commissions ever year to various sites (blogs, coupon sites, content sites, cashback sites, etc.) for helping to drive traffic. So why not collect that money that you helped generate?
Instead of giving it to another site, give it back to yourself!
The only “catch” per se would be that you have to wait a few days or weeks to get the money into your account. If you don’t mind waiting for free money, then using TopCashback.com is the bestest way to shop!
