Plush Dolls from Just Play Group

Have you seen Ice Age: Continental Drift yet? My kids have. Weeks ago. And they’re still talking about it!

Tough not to love Scrat, Manny, Sid, Diego and the rest of the prehistoric gang. I’ve actually enjoyed all of the movies so far. Great voice cast, nice animation and just all-around fun stories.

Of course, all the toys and movie tie-ins are pretty fun too. Right now, if you head over to your local Toys “R” Us, you’ll find a special Ice Age destination. These specially designed Ice Age branded boutiques put together games, books, backpacks, toys and more, all tied to the movie.

Best part of it all? The new line of toys from Just Play. which include plush animals, as well as a variety of playsets and action figures to re-enact your kids’ favorite scenes from the movie. I was sent a medium plush figure of Captain Gutt to review.

Since I’m a little old to be playing with stuffed animals (Unless they’re Captain America, that is), I went to my stuffed animal expert… Ryan, my 7 year old. Need to see his credentials? Okay, here’s just part of his stuffed animal collection:

Ryan loved Captain Gutt, particularly his beard (which is real soft to the touch). He kept giggling with him, and immediately grabbed a bunch of his other stuffed animals to join in the fight. Exclusive to Toys “R” Us, the Captain includes a killer sword and crazy monkey eyes. What’s not to love?

“I really like his beard best,” said Ryan. Sorry, that’s all I could get out of him specifically. But he really loved it and it’s now in a place of honor atop his dresser.

  26. Diego is mine. And I just put away all of my sons’ plush toys today (they were on the floor, because usually they are on the top bunk of my little one’s bedset but his cousin was over and they were all on the floor). Anyways, I was thinking I could sort through them at this point and decide which ones could say buh-bye – but they are all so “special” to him, I see him play with them all depending on his mood. So the collection stays. And now I am trying to add another. LOL. He looooves pirates.
