Ice Age Plush Review and Giveaway

Have you seen Ice Age: Continental Drift yet? My kids have. Weeks ago. And they're still talking about it! Tough not to love Scrat, Manny, Sid, Diego and the rest of the prehistoric gang. I've actually enjoyed all of the movies so far. Great voice cast, nice animation and just all-around fun stories. Of course, all the toys and movie tie-ins are pretty fun too. Right now, if you head over to your local Toys "R" Us, you'll find a special Ice Age destination. These specially designed Ice Age branded boutiques put together games, books, backpacks, toys and more, all tied to the movie. Best part of it all? The new line of ...

My 9-Year-Old Son Was a Keynote Speaker at MIT

College was always important to me as a kid. I wasn't obssessed like some Ivy League families, but I knew I had to go. I was really pushing for Cornell, but didn't rock my SATs enough to get in. Which in the end, I'm quite happy, because I ended up going to SUNY Binghamton where I met my future wife.  Anyways, places like Harvard or MIT are awesome and who wouldn't be proud to go there? But it's not like I lost sleep ever dreaming about those schools. This past weekend, however, I had the honor and the privilege of attending a Scratch Conference at MIT in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Scratch is an amazing ...

Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Andrew Kardon

Me and Rich "Goose" Gossage at the old Yankee Stadium. That's me on the right. Common mistake. This Friday I'm heading to my very first BlogHer conference. I've attended tons of conferences in my career before (from comic book conventions to Affiliate Summits), but I've never gone to a blogger-specific one. Needless to say, I have no idea what to expect, other than to have a great time and meet some amazing people. I've said it a zillion times before, but bloggers really are the nicest folks around. I just read a great post by Ali Martell (I'm assuming her last name is Martell, based on her domain name) entitled The Five-Minute ...

I’m Elmo and I Know It

This weekend, Ryan was sniffing around YouTube and came across a parody of "I'm Sexy and  I know it." For some reason, Ryan loves that song to begin with and is constantly walking around the house singing it. A few weeks ago, my wife overheard him talking to a friend of his on a playdate. They were singing the song and then Ryan asked his friend, "Do you know what sexy means?" His friend had no clue and asked Ryan in return. "I don't know either. But I'm sexy and I know it..." Needless to say, it's become Ryan's catchphrase of late. So when he was cruising around YouTube and stumbled on ...

My BlogHer Business Cards

I'm so pumped! Next week is the big BlogHer 12 conference in Manhattan. It's my first officia blogging conference, so I have no idea what to expect. I'm guessing it'll be kind of like a comic book convention only with less costumes and better smells. I got myself some spiffy business cards for the occasion. Since I don't have a real logo on Mommy's Busy... Go Ask Daddy, I thought I'd try to have a neat looking card and something fun and goofy on the back. They just arrived today and they look pretty geektastically sweet. Business Cards, Assemble!   What do you think?
