Holiday Gift Guide – The Vampire Diaries: The Complete Series

Looking for a holiday gift with some bite? Need the perfect lengthy TV series to sink your teeth into? Then hide the garlic and cast your eyes on The Vampire Diaries: The Complete Series on DVD!

It’s just your average tale of a teenage girl who loses both parents in a car accident and falls head over heels (or neck?) in love with a 160+ year-old vampire. Set in the spookerific town of Mystic Falls, Virginia, the girl’s name is Elena Gilbert and despite her town’s affinity for the supernatural, she finds herself caring about Stefan Salvatore, the vampire.

Clearly that setup is far from crazy enough for TV, so toss in Stefan’s vampire brother Damon and things get a bit more complicated. Especially when the two brothers enact a plan to resurrect a former lover named Katherine who just happens to be the spitting image of Elena. Talk about your bloody love triangle. Or is it a square in this case?

Chock full of teens, romance, supernatural, vampires, action, mystery and lots and lots of biting, The Vampire Diaries lasted a good long eight series for a total of 171 full episodes!

Whether you’ve seen every single bloody episode or nary a one,  you can grab this entire hypnotic series at once with The Vampire Diaries: The Complete Series!

The Vampire Diaries: The Complete Series Includes:

  • 39 DVDs
  • All 171 episodes
  • Dolby Surround 5.1 (English)
  • MSRP: $189.99 (DVD)/ $234.99 (Blu-ray)

I’ve always been a sucker (sorry, couldn’t resist!) for vampire stories. Maybe it’s because of my love for Batman, but there’s just something charismatic and noble about some vampires. I’m not talking about the slasher/horror story type ones. But the more intelligent, trying-to-fit into society vampires like the ones from Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire series or even the more recent True Blood series.

If you’re a fan of shows like Supernatural or even Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Vampire Diaires is a series to add to your collection for sure. I didn’t need to be seduced by Warner Bros. Home Entertainment to jump on the opportunity to host my very own The Vampire Diaries Giveaway!

One lucky vampire-loving reader of mine is going to win their very own copy of The Vampire Diaries: The Complete Series! No need to wait for sundown either. Just dive into the widget below and enter!

  1. The vampire diaries is close to Twilight in some ways. In others it really out does it !! I am a huge fan of Vampire diaries !! Thank you for this awesome chance.

  2. Buffy the Vampire Slayer was my favorite vampire series. The movie wasn’t very good but I loved the TV show. Thank you for the great giveaway. Happy holidays!

  3. I don’t have a favorite series. I like alot of different ones, Buffy, Angel, Karen E. Taylor’s Vampire legacy, The Sookie Stackhouse books, Twilight, and more!!!^_^

  4. The Vampire Diaries was my favorite, although I have to say that the first few seasons were my absolute favorite. The last few were good, but a very different feel.
