If you haven’t heard of Amazon.com by now, you probably just bought your very first computer. Congrats, by the way!
I’ve been using Amazon for years. While I know they don’t have the cheapest prices, I do generally go there first to make my online purchases. I run JoeShopping.com, a coupons and deals site that also includes a robust comparison shopping engine. I’ve been living in coupon codes for over a decade now. Even so, I find myself regularly visiting Amazon like an old friend.
Maybe it’s the selection. Maybe it’s the ease of use. I’m not sure. But the Free Shipping on orders over $25 is most definitely a big draw for me. And while they say it could take weeks to get your items when you use free shipping, I find that I get most orders within a week.
For my birthday, I usually tell my mom to simply get me an Amazon Gift Card. I do have a great Wish List on there, though, that of course is filled with comic books, video games, movies, and yes, the Lego Death Star!
Anyways, the one other fantastic thing about Amazon is their customer service. I’ve only had to deal with them twice (which says something right off the bat about a company), and both times was more than happy with the results. You’ll get a fast response via email, but you can also speak to a real human being on the phone. They don’t make you jump through hoops and they legitimately want to help you. It’s insanely refreshing. Just for the heck of it, go call now and say hi. When they ask what’s wrong, say, “Nothing. I just wanted to tell you guys at Amazon that you’re doing an awesome job. Thanks!”
To show my love and support for the Amazon website (as opposed to the python-filled rain forest), I’m hosting a rocking giveaway right here on Mommy’s Busy, Go Ask Daddy! Sponsored by XLS Medical, one lucky reader of mine will get to experience how awesome Amazon.com is for themselves!
