Win a Polar Express G Gauge Train Set from Lionel Trains (Ends 12/9)

Lionel Trains Polar Express

I run a lot of giveaways  on Mommy’s Busy, Go Ask Daddy and while they are a lot of work to coordinate, they’re also a lot of fun. Besides getting some really sweet, happy emails from winners when they hear the good news, my other favorite part about running them is the interaction. I love asking you guys to do something interesting or unique in order to enter.

Easily my favorite giveaway so far has been the Lionel Trains giveaway where I asked everyone to share their favorite train memories. I got some fantastic answers and some truly heartfelt responses. I think I may even collect some of the best ones and just generate a post from them they were so good!

Well, the folks at Lionel Trains are beyond super spiffy, so they’ve offered to sponsor another giveaway for you guys! This time around, I’m giving away a Polar Express G Gauge train set! A perfect gift for Christmas, this set normally sells for $149.99, though it’s currently on sale for $129.99 at Lionel’s website.

  1. I don’t think they really have anything to cater to the girls. Girls like trains too. How about some princess themes.

  2. If they did Disney they could do Phineas and Ferb or The Nightmare Before Christmas. Soccer or dinosaurs would also be awesome. Or maybe something pink for girly girls..

  3. I really like the Thomas Kinkade “All Aboard for Christmas” Boxcar, and I think a train set decorated with Thomas Kinkade artwork would be awesome.

  4. I love the MLB train… especially the Red Sox! I’d love to see them license the NFL so I could get my son a Patriots train or the NCAA because I know my husband would love to get him an Ole Miss train.

  5. I was thinking along the lines of popular board games for children ,I saw another commenter was thinking that same thought .

  6. My 3-year-old daughter LOVES Thomas the Train and all things train-related. It’s funny, though, since she’s obsessed with everything girly, especially Disney Princesses. If Lionel merged princesses with Disney Princesses, they could market to little girls, too. 🙂

  7. I’d love to see a Disney’s Tarzan train with gorillas and elephants and of course Sabor! My son would love it. But they already have the Peanuts gang which is his other favorite!

  8. I want something that pays tribute to Back to the Future. (Their search shows that there is something there, but I can’t tell what because it returns 557 results.)

  9. Wow they have a lot of licenses… we’re really into Thomas so I’m not sure which one to add… but maybe Disney since they have Cars and Planes… I suspect the next logical move would be trains 🙂

    • I hope they can make one with tributes to different American ethnic populations. For example, one could pay tribute to the significant work by Chinese in creating the Transcontinental Railroad.

  11. I would love nothing more than to see the spy train in Cars 2 come to life on a track. It just seems so right, I’m wondering why it doesn’t exist already!

    Seriously, Lionel…make this happen.

  12. I think it’s neat they already do Boy Scouts of America trains; that was going to be my suggestion. My other suggestion is Looney Tunes/Warner Bros.

  13. how about Duck Dynasty train set for my hubby and a veggie tale train set for my son. Thats my choice if Lionel Trains were doing other licenses. Thanks!
