Win a Scotties Facial Tissue Care Package ($20 value) Ends 1/5/13

Daisy Box

There are some things from the “olden” days that are just completely charming, yet are pretty much rarities these days.

I’m talking about things like pocket watches, typewriters, and even handkerchiefs. Although to be honest, I’ve never really understood the handkerchief. So you blow your nose and then stick the… uh… gooey, remnant-covered cloth back in your pocket? That’s just nasty!

No, sir. I’ll take tissues over a handkerchief any day of the week. In fact, I’ll take an entire care package of them! Which just happens to be exactly what the super friendly folks from Scotties sent over for me to check out!

Palm Trees Box

Their “Our Softest Ever” line of facial tissues comes in 3-ply, 2-ply, and Aloe versions. But that’s not what I’m most impressed with. Nor is it the variety of colorful patterns or scenes on each tissue box. Uh uh. It has to do with our planet.

You see, for every one tree that Scotties uses to produce its products, they promise to plant three more! So if you think about it, the more you buy Scotties tissues, the more trees they’re using. And the more trees they’re using, the more trees they’ll plant! So every time you blow your nose, you’re one step closer to helping plant a bunch of trees!

White Flowers Box

Now that winter’s here, you’ll unfortunately have a greater need for tissues thanks to this wacky weather. (Of course, all you New York Jets fans have probably used up a few crates of tissues this past week alone.)

Scotties is giving my readers a chance to win a care package filled with Scotties “Our Softest Ever” facial tissues! And that’s nothing to sneeze at!

  1. Antibiotics are usually prescription drugs employed in the treatment of bacterial infections brought on by germs,
fungus, along with unwanted organisms. In the past, the treatment of microbial infection has been quite hard.
Actually, prior to finding associated with antibiotics, many patients acquiring
microbial infection in no way managed to get outside of hospital beds alive.
That is why the actual development involving antibiotics had been the
    most important wellbeing developments

  3. Hey there would you mind sharing which blog platform you’re working with? I’m looking to start my own
blog in the near future but I’m having a tough time making a decision between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your design and style seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something completely unique.

P.S My apologies for getting off-topic but I had to
    ask!

  4. Thanks for the giveaway…we wash our dishes by hand 90% of the time, and use the grey / rinse-water to water our landscape plants in the winter; in summer we water our flower & vegetable garden as well.

  5. We never buy individual packages of anything and recycle what we can. We have reusable water bottles and a water filtering system so we don’t buy bottled water.

  6. I have become a recycling fanatic. I am constantly harping at my kids and hubby to throw the recycables into the ‘correct” trash. I’ve even gone so far as to dig thru a garbage bag to retrieve a single pop can that needed recycled. I want our world to be clean for my grandchildren.

  7. we have been recycling for close to 20 yrs, on summer days we go to the beach and collect garbage Mylar balloons, styrofoam cups plates etc. everything people leave behind.. we use rainwater to water our plants in the garden and we only use compost to enrich our soil.

  11. We throw so little away… I rarely have to take in any garbage at all. I recyle ANYthing than can be recylced. Anything compostable is composted. Anything edible- on the rare occasion we might not eat it, the animals do.

  12. Don’t keep buying plastic water bottles – get one, good bottle and re-use it. You can buy a glass bottle that’s plastic-protected from breakage (on its outside), and just keep re-filling that. Tap water is actually more regulated than bottled water, anyway.
