I’ll admit something. You know those fruit-of-the-month clubs? Yeah, I’ve sent a few as gifts over the years. But thing is, I never got one myself.

Not that I want a basket of fruit every month. But they make all kinds of monthly gift baskets like Beer of the Month or Cheese of the Month. Mmm… cheese. Heck, I would LOVE a Comic Book of the Month club that’s filled with a handful of different titles each month. (You listening, Marvel and DC?)

Well, I recently discovered a pretty neat monthly gift for women. Actually, it doesn’t even have to be monthly, it can just be a one-time deal. It’s called Wantable and once my wife heard about it, she most definitely Wanted one.

Wantable deals with two categories: Jewelry and Makeup. Once you select your category, you’re asked a series of questions that pertain to your personal taste and style. Fairly simple actually. And then you simply decide on whether you want to get just one box ($40) or a monthly subscription ($36 per month).

So what does your money and your opinion get you? If my wife’s reaction is typical, you pretty much get a ton of fun.

Allie didn’t quite “Squee” when she got her Wantable box, but it was pretty darn close. What the fine folks over at Wantable do is take your information and hand-pick an assortment of jewelry or makeup specific to your taste. Then a bunch of full-size products are placed in a spiffy box and sent your way.

If you don’t like the assortment, you can just return it for a full refund. Pretty neat way to try out all sorts of new makeup and jewelry, right?

Anyways, Allie picked the jewelry category. She hates bracelets and lately isn’t so into earrings. But she loves rings and necklaces these days so she made sure to get that across.

Let’s see what she got in her Wantable Jewelry box, shall we?

Wantable Necklacke

This is Allie’s favorite piece from the set. It’s a nice big sparkly necklace that goes with, well, everything!

Also included were three funky rings. My favorite (and hers) is the lengthy triple turquoise one. Note, the diamond wedding ring was not included. That one I actually bough myself tyvm.

And finally, a second necklace was also included in the set. It’s a light orange type color (I’m sure women know exactly what specific color that is, but guys only know like 7 colors) with all sorts of funkiness going on with it.

Of course I’m in trouble now because Allie really liked getting a box of rings and necklaces in the mail. And or course, now she wants it every single month. Thanks a lot, Wantable!

  14. Jewelry wise, I like anything that stands out. A piece that I haven’t seen on someone else. I like big, funky and bold. Makeup wise though, I like natural. I like to look like I don’t have makeup on

  23. I love Sterling Silver jewelry with a turquoise stone. My favorite type is bracelets. I really love when I find a cool, vintage piece at a yard sale or thrift store.

  25. My favourite makeup is lip gloss. Don’t wear much jewelry as I am allergic to most metals, but my sister LOVES LOVES LOVES jewelry so If i won I would give it to her 🙂

  59. My favorite type of jewelry is gemstone jewelry, with a silver setting. I love emeralds and sapphires. As for makeup, the same tastes apply. I love green/teal/blue eyeshadows!

  73. I love titanium, stainless steel, and gold jewelry because I have a nickel allergy. I use sunscreen but minimal makeup: I need hypoallergenic and noncomedogenic products.

  105. First, this is a very cool concept! Now, a favorite jewelery? hmm. Well I don’t like yellow gold so I prefer white gold, silver or platinum. And from there, anything shiny really. I love me some bling!
