Win a Personalized Baby Blanket (Ends 5/25)

BabyBlankets.com

It’s been quite awhile since we had a crib in our house. But I have to tell you, having a baby is a great way to stock up on baby blankets!

We got plenty of baby blankets through the years. Some with familiar characters on them. Others with just interesting patterns. But our favorites were always the ones that were personalized with either Jason or Ryan on them. Which makes sense since those are our kids’ names.

That personalization just adds that extra nice touch, y’know? It shows that the gift giver cared enough to take the time to personalize something that’s meant to keep your little bundle of joy safe and warm. It’s also something you’ll remember for a long time, thinking of that person every time you see that specific blanket.

So where’s the best place to score yourself a personalized baby blanket? Well, even you guys with poor memories should be able to remember a perfect name like BabyBlankets.com.

Run by my buddy Dennis (who also has one of the coolest companies around that sells Steampunk Goggles), BabyBlankets.com sells (what else?) baby blankets of all shapes, sizes and softnesses! There are loads of different colors and textures available, as well as some fabulous personalization options including names, text, font and even adorable clip art.

Take a look at this Silky Soft Crib Blanket with an angel:

One of my favorite things was giving the boys a bath when they were super little. I remember taking them out of the tiny plastic tub and as quick as can be, wrapping them up in one of those hooded towels. They looked like tiny little Jedi Knights! And of course, you can get a number of Personalized Hooded Towels too!

That’s just an incredibly small taste of the cuteness that awaits you over at Babyblankets.com. The site also features loads of toys, gifts, sleep sacks, hats, swaddling wraps, and more. I love how easy it is to filter your search results too! You can narrow things down by price, gender, use, occasion, fabric and even brand!

You can almost feel the softness on some of these blankets, can’t you? Yeah, other than that “new baby smell,” the other great memory of babies is how insanely soft their skin is. Between that and the silky soft blankets you wrap the little buggers in, the entire first few years of parenting feel like you’re floating in a cloud. (Unfortunately, it’s a poop-filled cloud, but that only helps you relish the softness even more!)

Whether you’re expecting, have an infant of your own or are looking for a fabulous gift for someone, you should certainly consider snagging a personalized baby blanket from BabyBlankets.com. They can’t help you make that baby (some things you just gotta just figure out on your own), but they can help you keep him or her secure.

  1. We didn’t consider any really crazy names, just crazy spellings. Alisha, Blaine, and Conner… and if we ever have another, we have to find a name that starts with D.

  2. My husband thought a good name for our son would be Sherlock Holmes. Luckily I triumphed by naming him Jack.

  3. I’m not into crazy names anymore, but when I was younger I was into the name Reflection. Thank God that didn’t stick when I got older…lol.

  4. to be quite honest there were no crazy names. I knew what i wanted to name my oldest since i was very young (after my grandmother) and my youngest name was chosen by my boyfriend. They were very simple choices for us!

  5. Thank you for the giveaway. We named our daughter, Chloe, almost 14 years ago. Her name didn’t seem to be as popular as it is today, but we loved the name. It was/is old fashioned. I’ve never really wanted to name my kids any “crazy” names, but there are some very pretty names that are unusual. Our nephew is expecting his second child, and I would love to enter for them. They have a 1 1/2 year old son right now and one on the way! I think these are perfect gifts.

  6. I am an old-fashioned person when it comes to names. I went for the traditional names like Michael and Jean for a friend. I might have called Jean something else if my best friend had a different name. I really like her.

  7. We considered Dash for a boy and Plum for a girl! We ended up with Lawson James, Alba Rose, and Hudson Andrew. All their first names are pretty uncommon. Hudson is on the top 100 for 2014 but we decided to go with it because while it may be more common now, it is not in our area of NY. We actually do know another Lawson, but it is a female (which I didn’t think was a gender neutral name, but now that I know her, she is totally a Lawson just like my son is!). And the middle names are all very common, but for us, they are family names of loved ones we want to honor.

  8. We didn’t have any crazy names because we wanted a traditional name but, my mother wanted my brother’s middle name to be Thyme because he was born 2 days before Christmas. So, he would have been Justin Thyme. My dad stopped that one.

  9. I would never give a child a crazy name. They’re stuck with it for life unless they legally change it. Our children have traditional names with traditional spelling.

  10. We like traditional names with “normal” spellings. We have Eloise and Paul. I never considered an unusual name.

  11. I really wouldn’t go crazy… I might go a little under the radar like Daphne or Evelyn after some of my older family members…

  12. When I had my daughter 21 years ago I chosen the name Mindy, because it was very uncommon and the only Mindy there was, was the tv show. Well now you hear it everywhere, and it is a quite common name now

  13. I would never consider a crazy name. In fact, I took great care in choosing first and middle names to make sure they could not be shortened to something that would make it easy for them to get picked on, and that their initials didn’t spell anything. With my first if I had had a girl I wanted the middle name to be Patience, but that is as crazy as I went. I ended up with 5 boys: Travis, Taylor, Thomas, Kristopher and Hayden (and all of them have normal middle names also).

  14. People thought it was strange that we considered Ford for our first son’s name. We actually did use it for his middle name.

  15. We are considering Clover right now, & Chlo or Chloe for short… we go back & forth, lol! Thanks for the super sweet chance!

  16. we’ve always had traditional names in mind, however, in highschool I though B’Elanna was an amazing choice for a girl (always will be a sci-fi nerd at heart)

  17. I was staying away from the ‘unusual’ names since I have one myself. That said, I did joke that, since our last name is also a common first name, maybe I would give her the same first and last names, and then it would be easier to learn how to spell her name.

  18. We didn’t really consider any crazy names. We’re expecting our 2nd daughter, and if she would have been a boy I really wanted to name her Simon and my husband was very opposed and thought it was weird. Luckily she was a girl and we agreed on the name Bethany for her 🙂

  19. I didn’t have any other names picked for my Son, we loved Keegan and it was the only name we considered.
