Win 2 Angry Birds Star Wars Games from Hasbro (Ends 5/8)

Reese's had its chocolate and its peanut butter. And it was good. Heck, it's STILL good. Especially in the freezer. Drooooool. And now Roxio and Lucas have their Angry Birds and their Star Wars. And fans have Angry Birds Star Wars! How can you not fall in love with a Darth Vader pig? No, seriously? How??? Apparently the power of the Dark Side is pure cuteness. Hasbro's always sending me loads of great toys and games to test out and this time around I just couldn't wait to get my hands on their Angry Birds Star Wars games! I previewed these many Endor Moons ago at a Hasbro party. I remember staring ...

The Whole Lotta Toys Giveaway – Valued at $150 (Ends 4/21)

It's good to be a blogger. I don't like to brag, but well, I get treated a lot differently than you regular folks. I never have a problem getting my favorite seat at the local Taco Bell. I can "borrow" movies and even video games from my local library... without paying a dime! And the newspaper delivery guy drops our paper off daily on the front stoop. Well, okay, he tosses it and half the time it ends up in the bushes, but it's the thought that counts. As a blogger, I also get a lot of products sent my way to review. Sometimes I request items, and other times companies just ...

Win Hasbro’s New Jenga Boom Game (Ends 2/25)

Growing up, one of my favoritest games in the world was Superfection! It was just like Perfection (where you have to put small yellow odd-shaped pieces into the board before the timer runs out and the board POPS, sending all the pieces flying. Superfection was the same thing, except instead of small yellow pieces, you had to put these 2-piece puzzles together (they'd form a square) and then put the square on the board before the timer ran out. Man, I loved that game! In more recent years, I've matured and now enjoy more sophisticated games like, say, Jenga! Build a tower, then slowly remove a piece and place it on ...

Save the Dog and Win a Monopoly Board Game (Ends 2/10)

It's no secret that I love Monopoly and my son Jason loves it even more! It's his favorite game to play and he loves every single version we own. And that's a lot. Everyone else in the family just rolls their eyes at playing it, but I get it. I spent many a summer playing game after game after game with my neighborhood friends Eddie, Gary and Ethan. I actually remember one summer in particular we played the ultimate game that took literally weeks to finish. We put three Monopoly boards together and said that when you land on Free Parking, you "jump" to the next board. That way you can get ...

Draw Something, Guess Nothing

Like most people, my family goes in and out when it comes to apps. We've had vicious rounds of Words With Friends and really got into Draw Something. The kids even get in on the fun and play against me and Allie on their iTouches. And then there's my dad. He plays with all of us, but I think Allie's the only one who gets back to him quickly, so they have a lengthy game going. Apparently, I got my artistic talent from my father, since he can barely draw a stick figure too. I was sitting at work the other day when Allie sent me an instant message. All it said ...

It Was a Hulk Kind of Morning

While Allie was off working this weekend, the boys and I spent some time in the playroom. It's loaded with more toys than you can imagine. Or maybe you can, if you've got kids of you're own... We really need to clean out some of the games in there, since we still have a lot of older ones from when the boys were really little. But then again, we had a blast today playing Operation Hulk! It's the same game as regular Operation, except it's the Hulk full of different items, like my favorite being a small flag that's called "Pun Banner." Instead of an obnoxious buzz when you touch the sides, ...
