Your Thor Ragnarok Reading Guide

If you're like me, you've already seen Thor Ragnarok. Actually, if you're like me, you've seen it twice so far. I loved it just as much the second time. If you're not a comic book reader, though, you may not realize that the movie was based on a few big Marvel Comics storylines. Sure, Thor and Hulk will be back in Avengers: Infinity War, but that's like months and months away. In the meantime, why not pick up the original source material and read even more adventures of the God of Thunder and the Big Green Goliath? Thor Ragnarok Comics Arguably the best run on The Mighty Thor was by writer/artist Walt Simonson. As ...

Thor Ragnarok Totally Rocked My World

Marvel Studios Thor: Ragnarok..L to R: Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and Hulk (Mark Ruffalo). Photo: Film Frame. ©Marvel Studios 2017 I'll be honest. While I absolutely love Thor as a character, the first two Marvel Thor movies weren't my favorite of the Marvel Cinema Universe. Don't get me wrong, I did really enjoy them, they're just not up there in the top with things like Captain America: Winter Soldier, Avengers, Iron Man and Guardians of the Galaxy. Yesterday I took the family to see Thor Ragnarok (at a Dolby Cinema at AMC Theater!) and... well.... just wow! I won't give away any spoilers at all in here, except to see that somehow Marvel ...

My Boys Dressed Up as a Pair of Franks for Halloween

Happy Halloween! I can't believe another candy-filled day of Halloween has come and gone already. I tell ya, October has been a crazy whirlwind this year. While I donned my familiar red, white and blue business attire for the occasion, both Jason and Ryan chose some interesting options for their Halloween costumes. Ryan chose to be one of my favorite food groups: a hot dog! And Jason went the superhero (or in this case, the antihero) way by donning Frank Castle's skull-faced outfit as The Punisher! A Hot Dog and The Punisher. Yep. Or, as it hit me later in the day, both my boys went as a Frank! Of course, with me as Captain America ...

My Marvel Luggage Means I Travel in Super Style

One of my many superpowers is my ability to pack. Whether it's to move an entire house or get the whole family ready for a big Disney World vacation, I have this uncanny ability to treat clothes like Tetris blocks and magically fit them all in smoothly. It's a gift. The one thing I don't have, though, is super cool luggage. At least, I didn't until I recently hooked up with my friends over at Irv's Luggage. (We'll talk about them a little bit later...) Sick of always grabbing the wrong black suitcase from the luggage turnstyle at the airport, I decided it was time for a change. Time for a MARVELous ...

Marvel’s Inhumans is Literally Out of This World – And There’s a Teleporting Dog!

LOCKJAW, ANSON MOUNT (Black Bolt) When Arnim Zola showed up as a series of computer screens in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, I thought there was absolutely no way on Earth that Marvel could top themselves with crazy, obscure, bizarre characters making it to the mainstream. Now that I've seen previews of Inhumans, I stand corrected. Lockjaw, a giant, teleporting dog, is making his way to the small screen this month! Continuing its entertainment domination with major motion pictures, Netflix runaway hits like The Defenders and ABC TV's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Marvel shows no signs of slowing down. Kicking off on September 29 on ABC, get ready for Marvel's Inhumans. These guys ...
