The moon is crashing down in just 3 days and what do you do?  Plan a carnival on the day the moon falls or save the world?  The people of Clock Town choose the first but Link chooses the second.  In this remake of a gaming classic, ( Which I haven’t played ) you have to save the 4 giants from their imprisonment and stop the moon from crashing into the land of Termina.

I have loved the 3 Zelda games I have played before and this game is no exception.  This game takes place right after Ocarina of Time where it starts of with Link trying to find his lost friend, Navi.

Majora's Mask 3D

This game has a unique 3 day cycle where you have to stop the moon from falling by traversing the same 3 days over and over again until you have saved the land of Termina.

This game plays extremely well.  The camera control using the New Nintendo 3DS has been really helpful while I was exploring the lands of Termina.

The core Zelda gameplay is still here.  There are 4 tricky dungeons to explore and 24 masks to collect.  There are A LOT of side quests to make up for the lack of dungeons.

While I am writing this I have only completed the first dungeon and I am excited to keep playing and finish it.

Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask figure

Also, I got a cool Skull Kid figure with the game.

I give it 5/5 stars!

  1. I haven’t played a Zelda game since the original NES version from back in the 80s, and that was only because that game was playable inside the Sears store.

  6. I am going to ask my son if he knows this game and if he is getting it. My don plays video games all the time and has the New Nintendo DS. This game does look like it is fun to play over and over again.
