I Attempt Getting the #NightsRight with Breathe Right® Nasal Strips

I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Breathe Right®. I received product samples to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation.

“You look like a guy from Punch-Out!!”

That’s what my 10-year-old son said to me last night as he kissed me good night. He’s been playing the Nintendo boxing game on the Wii-U lately and the bandage across my nose instantly reminded him of one of the characters from his game.

But no, I’m a lover, not a fighter. And the bandage on my nose was an attempt by me to get the #NightsRight.

I was testing out a Breathe Right® nasal strip to see if I could open up my nasal passages a bit and get a better night’s sleep.

Since I was a teenager, I think my nose has been congested. I remember mowing my lawn every single weekend while rocking out to Whitesnake on my Sony Walkman. (That’s kind of like an iPod for you confused kids today.) But invariably, my nose would get so congested when I mowed.

Ever try to sleep when one of your nostrils is totally clogged? Not fun, let me tell ya. And it can certainly lead to a fairly restless night.

Which, in turn, leads to a rough morning, and more than likely, a pretty exhausting day.

Breathe Right

That brings me to the Breathe Right® nasal strips. According to the brand, when you add these strips to a regular cold or allergy regimen, they can instantly open up your nose a good 38% more than decongestant sprays alone.

What’s more, these strips are a drug-free and clinically proven way to lift your nasal passage and open up your nose to let you breathe better and get yourself a better night’s sleep.

Sure I take allergy pills. I use nasal sprays. Heck, I even get regular allergy shots. I’m talking year round too.

The summer’s always worse though, thanks to all the grass and pollen that “pollutes” the air.

I’ve been pretty congested this week, so I was real curious how well Breathe Right® nasal strips would work for me.

Breathe Right

Real easy to put on (there’s even application instructions on the website), I literally felt my nostrils opening up in just a few seconds. I could take a nice deep breath through both nostrils and it felt… well, pretty darn good!

To put them on, there’s a simple 3 Step Process:

  1. Clean your face, particularly your nose
  2. Peel the backing off the Breathe Right® nasal strip and position it near the lower part of your nose
  3. Apply the strip to your nose and press down firmly for a few seconds

I didn’t feel any discomfort from the strip and actually forgot it was on a number of times while watching TV before falling asleep for the night.

Apparently I slept pretty well since I don’t recall waking up at all. Allie even said I was far less restless than normal.

As far as removing the strip in the morning, just slowly peel it off. You can wash your face with warm water or hop in the shower to help loosen the strip from its ends as well. Then just grab both tabs of the strip and slowly lift off your nose.

Easy peasy!

Breathe Right® nasal strips come in a variety of different styles, including ones for sensitive skin, extra clear and even a lavender sent to help calm you down as you doze off at night.

I’m definitely going to keep trying these out and can’t wait to bring them with me the next time the whole family goes on a trip. When we vacation together, I somehow end up bugging the rest of the family since I toss and turn so much with my congested schnoz.

If you suffer from a congested nose like I do, consider giving Breathe Right® nasal strips a chance. Who knows, it may lead to a better night’s sleep, which can lead to a much better tomorrow.

How do you deal with a congested nose?

  1. Those may not be the prettiest things, but I am a year-round, allergy pill taker, nose spray sniffer, too. These might be worth a try.

  2. My husband has the worst allergies right now. I think I’m going to buy a box of these and get him to try them! Thanks!

  3. I know they work for mne. Although, if I can make a suggestion, you might be happier in bed if Allie were beside you rather than the boxes of Breathe Right. ….just a thought…..
