Disney Lets it Go with the First Frozen 2 Trailer

©2019 Disney. All Rights Reserved. Disney's animated Frozen holds a very special place in my heart. Sure it was a great movie, with great songs, great story, great voice actors. But it also happened to be the very first Disney press event I ever attended. Yep, I got to interview the stars from Frozen including Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel. I got to sit at a nice round table with the stars (okay, there were a few other bloggers there too, including superstar Mitch from GayNYCDad) and ask them questions about their role, their loves, you name it. Almost as cool as meeting the stars, was the fact that I got to ...

Beauty and the Beast – Disney’s Tale as Old as Time Gets Retold

As much as I love Disney's The Little Mermaid, it's the fish film's follow-up that holds a real special place in my heart. I first saw Beauty and the Beast in college with my girlfriend (a.k.a. My future wife). We both absolutely loved it and I'd even go around doing my best Beast impression as I'd burst out into song and start belting this infamous line: "She glanced this way. I thought I saw. But when we touched, she didn't shudder at my paw!" Years later, we saw the amazing Beauty and the Beast show on Broadway (the beast transformation is sooo cool!) to keep the magic alive. We've probably seen the ...

5 Ways to Get Your Picky Eater to Try New Foods

If your child is a picky eater, then you know what a challenge mealtime can be. However, you are not alone in this issue, as a 2013 study showed that many young children refuse many of the foods they are offered but not for the reasons parents might think. In fact, some pediatricians and nutritionists believe that certain children have texture and taste sensitivities that cause them to reject certain foods. If you are the parent of a picky eater, here are five ways to encourage him or her to try new foods and boost their intake of nutritious snacks and dishes. 1.     Change a Food’s Presentation If your child is rejecting ...

I Attempt Getting the #NightsRight with Breathe Right® Nasal Strips

I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Breathe Right®. I received product samples to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation. “You look like a guy from Punch-Out!!” That’s what my 10-year-old son said to me last night as he kissed me good night. He’s been playing the Nintendo boxing game on the Wii-U lately and the bandage across my nose instantly reminded him of one of the characters from his game. But no, I’m a lover, not a fighter. And the bandage on my nose was an attempt by me to get the #NightsRight. I was testing out a Breathe ...

Win The Vampire Diaries Season 6 OR The Originals Season 2 (Ends 9/16)

I'm not a big fan of horror movies. Which is funny because I love horror books. Heck, Stephen King is one of my favorite authors! I just don't love the spooky/scary/gore-filled films I guess. I do, however, love the supernatural. Vampires. Witches. Werewolves. Those I've always loved. (With the sole exception being those glittery lovey dovey vampires...)  Now, I haven't seen The Vampire Diaries or The Originals yet, but I think it's time I added them to my regular roster! For those who are fans, check out this exclusive interview with Julie Plec, the creator of both shows, in which she counts down her Top 5 episodes from the most recent seasons of ...

When it Comes to the Yankees, I’m a Total Fanatic

Winter. It's cold, depressing and long. Especially for a sports fan like me. See, I'm a big football fan and when the Super Bowl finally hits, it's always bittersweet. It's a great day full of food, friends, family and well, obviously, football. But the day after ? Well, that's when it really sinks in. No more football for a long time. And even worse, the baseball season doesn't kick off until April. Yeah, I'm not a big basketball or hockey guy at all. Sure, I'll watch the finals. Maybe. But that long stretch of months between January and early April is the pits. I need my fix. Thankfully, it's finally here. Monday, April ...
