Disney Lets it Go with the First Frozen 2 Trailer

Disney’s animated Frozen holds a very special place in my heart. Sure it was a great movie, with great songs, great story, great voice actors. But it also happened to be the very first Disney press event I ever attended.

Yep, I got to interview the stars from Frozen including Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel. I got to sit at a nice round table with the stars (okay, there were a few other bloggers there too, including superstar Mitch from GayNYCDad) and ask them questions about their role, their loves, you name it.

Almost as cool as meeting the stars, was the fact that I got to take my wife and kids to screen Frozen the very next day. This was roughly one month before its official release, so it was extra cool. I still remember driving home the night after we saw the movie. My wife was singing, “Let it Go” and turned to me and said, “That’s a really catchy song. I bet it takes off.”

And now, the House of Mouse is ready to give everyone the chills once more. Frozen 2 is set to open on November 22, 2019. With the same basic cast of characters (that’d be Elsa, Anna, Olaf and Kristoff) and the same amazing voice talent of Kristen Bell, Jonathtan Groff, Josh Gad and Idina Menzel, you can expect nothing but crystal perfection.

From the Academy Award®-winning team—directors Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck, and producer Peter Del Vecho—and featuring the voices of Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, Jonathan Groff and Josh Gad, and the music of Oscar®-winning songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Frozen 2” opens in U.S. theaters on Nov. 22, 2019. ©2019 Disney. So what’s Frozen 2 about? Beats me! All I know is that from the initial trailer, things look a little bit darker for our favorite winter family. Elsa’s working on honing her powers to a crazy degree and the rest of the gang are doing their best to keep out of trouble. There’s also a lot more color this time around in a fall foliage kind of way. Take a look:

Did you get goosebumps? Are you ready to see what happens next to Elsa? Will Anna and Kristoff get married? How many times will Olaf lose his head, literally? And who is the enemy this time around that they’ll all need to work together in order to beat?

I don’t know the answer to any of those except the fact Olaf will most likely lose his nose a number of times for sure! We’ll just have to wait for the next trailer to hit before we can start unraveling the story. I also know that if you wait too long to buy tickets, you are so going to be left out in the cold. (See what I did there?)
