When it Comes to the Yankees, I’m a Total Fanatic

Winter. It's cold, depressing and long. Especially for a sports fan like me. See, I'm a big football fan and when the Super Bowl finally hits, it's always bittersweet. It's a great day full of food, friends, family and well, obviously, football. But the day after ? Well, that's when it really sinks in. No more football for a long time. And even worse, the baseball season doesn't kick off until April. Yeah, I'm not a big basketball or hockey guy at all. Sure, I'll watch the finals. Maybe. But that long stretch of months between January and early April is the pits. I need my fix. Thankfully, it's finally here. Monday, April ...

My Interview with Big Hero 6’s Baymax

Recently, I got to visit L.A. for an amazing blogging trip. I interviewed the directors behind Big Hero 6, the voices behind Hiro and Tadashi, and even Scott Adsit (the voice of Baymax). It was a blast talking to them all and getting some serious behind-the-scenes goodies! But there's one interview I didn't share with you guys yet. It was far and away the best. I interviewed Baymax. No, not Scott Adsit, the voice of the personal healthcare companion. But Baymax himself! I had the opportunity to ask the big cuddly guy a few questions, so I did. Check out my questions and his answers below! What is the best medicine in ...

My Garage is Ready for PrimeTime With This Killer Penn State Locker

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Gladiator® GarageWorks for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine. Sometimes I wish I had gone to a college with a real sports team. See, I went to SUNY Binghamton where the only real sports talk was about the college hockey team. Yeah, the one that had lost 30 games in a row. Granted, I met my wife there, so I can't really complain. But I never really got into College Sports because of it. I'm a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan, though, so whenever I do watch or root for college teams, it's usually Pennsylvania based. Like Penn State. If you're a crazy ...

My 15-Year-Old Nephew is a Baseball History Author

Most 15-year-olds consider the day a monstrous success if they win the latest round of Halo with their friends. For that matter, so do many of my friends, who are... ahem... a few years older than that. But when it comes to crossing things off your bucket list, my 15-year-old nephew Matthew has a huge head start. I've written about the baseball-loving Matthew (or Matt to his friends... he's always going to be stuck with Matthew to his family) before. And yes, I certainly wouldn't give him the same amount of press here on my blog if he weren't a Yankees fan. (Smart kid.) Matthew is a trivia fiend, spouting baseball history ...

I’m Building My Own Lego Simpsons Army

I love the Simpsons. And I love Lego. So even if you're pretty poor in Math, you should be able to put an equation together that shows how much I love the Simpsons Lego figures. Legos are always going to be top notch when it comes to quality and detail in construction toys, and the new Lego Simpsons line is no exception. While I'm still waiting for the Lego Fairy to deliver me a Simpsons House, I did manage to get my hands on a handful of the blind-packaged Simpsons minifigs! For just a few bucks (roughly $3.99 a bag), you can get your grubby paws on a bag. Now, there are 16 figures ...

Win The Lego Movie on Blu-ray (Ends 7/1)

You can all relax now. The Lego Movie is now available on Blu-ray. So yes, everything IS awesome! Seriously, this movie is just full of so much win it hurts! I can't wait to have the song "Everything is Awesome" stuck in my head again and again! And I can't wait to hear Batman sing his dark and brooding ballad! Hah. I so loved this movie and hope they don't just make a sequel, but 10 or 11 of 'em! In case you were foolish enough to miss this classic flick in theaters, here's the official rundown: About the Lego Movie: The LEGO® Movie, the first-ever, full-length theatrical LEGO® adventure, directed by Phil Lord ...
