Nintendo Sent Us a Big ol’ Bucket Full o’ Color

As a blogger, I’m always getting all sorts of neat mystery packages sent to my house. Sure I get loads of boxes packed with movies, games or gadgets that I need for blog post reviews. But there are plenty of days I get boxes that I have no clue what’s inside. Yeah, the UPS guy must love me.

Take the other day for example. A box showed up and I didn’t have any upcoming reviews planned, so I had zero clue what was inside. I opened it up and saw an even bigger mystery. A beautifully wrapped yellow bucket filled with all sorts of interesting looking items.

I had a vague idea this one wasn’t for me but instead was for my boys. So I called Jason and Ryan into the living room and showed them their latest surprise gift. They didn’t know what was up either.

“What’s in the bucket?”

It was certainly a colorful bucket, with colorful ribbons (side note: purple happens to be Jason’s favorite color!) and some clearly colorful content inside. So the boys started to dive right in.

Jason’s eyes immediately opened to the size of small moons as he saw the latest Nintendo Wii U game Paper Mario: Color Splash! He’s been anxiously awaiting this one!

Ryan kept digging through the bucket and found tons of colorful fun including some Crayola paint, a big set of paint brushes and a slew of Paper Mario activity pages. Yeah, looks like things are going to be anything but dull around here!

Here’s what our good friends at Nintendo sent over for the boys to have a real colorful time. I give a huge thumbs up to the marketing team over there for continuing to spread the Nintendo and Mario fun beyond the borders of an already super fun game!

Jason’s already halfway through the game, so look for his review coming up soon! In the meantime, grab yourself a copy of Paper Mario Color Splash if you’re looking to add a little color to your video game library.

  1. I bet the kids (and you) loved this. Nintendo is great! It seems they can keep putting bit of a spin on characters and make them fun and exciting. I have always liked Mario (and friends). The game is ‘clean’ bright and fun to play.

  2. That is so cool! My son is obsessed with MARIO lol it’s never said quietly. And I can’t wait to get my hands on the new mini NES! It will be a “Christmas present for my son”. 😉
