March 14 is Pi Day. Go ahead, think about it.
Yep, Pi, the crazy math symbol that stands for 3.14 and an infinite amount of numbers afterwards. So 3/14 is Pi Day. And to celebrate, I’m joining with Foodie.com and tons of other Foodie Bloggers this March by sharing a slice of Pi, er, pie-related recipes.
What, you expected cherry? Or blueberry perhaps? That would’ve been way too predictable. Besides, I absolutely love pot pies. Growing up in the ’80s, I must’ve eaten my body weight in those delicious, frozen little morsels of awesomeness.
Allie actually made me a homemade pot pie once and it was fantastic! Maybe if enough of you guys leave supportive comments below (hint hint!), she’ll make it again! Or even try one of those new recipes I found in my collection.
So exactly where did I find most of them? On Foodie.com, actually. It’s a really fun site that lets you visually browse and share recipes. I’m definitely keeping that one bookmarked for future use.
Hmmm… maybe I should also start hunting down different types of pizzas. You know, because they’re really called pizza pies.
This scrumptious post was brought to you by the fantastic folks over at Foodie.com.
My favorite comfort food is chicken pot pie, so I am excited to see this on the list here. I also would love to try the nacho pot pie, sounds interesting.
My family loves pot pie. My grandsons love it because of the crunchy outer crust.
I’m not a big fan of pot pie, but the hubster is. Thanks for sharing .. he’ll have fun with this 🙂

I love irrational numbers like Pi. Pot pie recipes are a fitting way to celebrate!
I have a book club meeting on Pi Day, and I’m thinkign about Russianish pies to match our cold war novel. Any ideas?
I know someone who has a birthday on Pi day. And so that means pot pies are awesome and probably birthday food.

I love Mexican food and that nacho pie would be right up my alley. Gotta try that one for sure!
