Netflix is the Cat’s Meow

As part of the Netflix #StreamTeam, I’m helping them celebrate pets this month! You know, all those furry little critters that put a smile on your face and warmth around your heart. Say it with me, everybody… Awwwwwwwwwww.

Now, I’m most definitely a dog person. I grew up with dogs and just love their insane amount of loyalty. They’re always happy to see you and if you’re sick, they somehow just know it and never leave your side.

Cats, on the other hand, they’ll boss you around, trick you into a false sense of petting security and then scratch you when you least expect it.

Don’t get me wrong. I love all animals (except snakes… why’d it have to be snakes?), but dogs are definitely tops on my list. As for cats, I guess I’d be happy to have a cat if it was a hat-wearing, sword-wielding, swashbuckling type.

Y’know, just like the kind you can find on Netflix!

Back on January 16, Netflix launched its exclusive new series The Adventures of Puss in Boots, starring that rapscallion of a feline who leapt out of the Shrek movies and into his own feature film. He’s the world’s greatest feline fighter, taking on loads of comedic adventures in his brand new series.

If you’re looking to get in on more “hair” raising adventures, Netflix is loaded with great titles full of everything from dogs to charging rhinos to up-to-no-good monkeys!

Hachi: A Dog’s Tale | Air Bud | Monkey Trouble

As insanely ridiculous as it was, I absolutely loved Air Bud and a slew of its sequels! Here’s hoping you’re keeping warm wherever you are with a cute cuddly critter in your lap!

What’s your favorite animal movie?

  1. My favorite animal movie has to be Homeward Bound! My son loved it too when he was small and we watched it about 100 times. Thanks for the ideas of other movies on Netflix – we have a subscription and should probably put it more to use. The kids each got a Roku stick for Christmas so they can watch in their rooms.

  2. I love dogs and cats. I have 3 adorable cats. They follow me around the house and love to cuddle. My oldest cat performs tricks and wants to be famous like Grumpy Cat.

My favorite animal movie is Lassie, but I haven’t watched it for years. I’m a big fan of Shrek and Puss in Boots. My cat Charley is a ginger cat who admires Puss in Boots. (I guess I’m a crazy cat person!)
