I’m a geek and proud of it. I will 1000% freely admit that I watched the latest teaser trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens with eyes just as wide as they were for that 5-year-old kid watching the very first Star Wars movie back in 1977.
I know it’s early. I know trailers can feature the best parts of any movie. I know JJ Abrams is one heckuva storyteller. And I know expectations are often hard to reach, especially when they’re so incredibly high.
Even so, I got goosebumps on top of my goosebumps when I watched the newest Star Wars teaser trailer released by Lucasfilm yesterday.
Didn’t see it yet? Well, let me share it with you just so I have yet another excuse to watch it myself.
Of course, the point that made it so completely perfect for me and sent chills up my spine was that last scene with the Millennium Falcon, ending in the perfect quote from Han Solo about coming home. Suer, the Captain’s quite a bit grayer, but that makes it even cooler how Chewie hasn’t aged a day (and his growl is still full of warm and fuzzies) .
Looks like everyone (regardless of religion) is going to get one heckuva Christmas present this year!
