Kid Review: Mario Kart 8 DLC is a Link to a Great Game

This is the next best thing to Super Kart Bros. You can play as Link, Tanooki Mario, and Cat Peach. There are 2 new cups, the Egg cup and the Triforce cup so there are 8 new courses. In the Egg cup, the 4 new races are GCN Yoshi Circuit, Excitebike Arena, Dragon Driftway and Mute City. Happy Holidays from Nintendo

When you're good buddies with the coolest video game company on the planet, good things happen. The Nintendo gang is doing a bang-up job with the #KidReviewers program that Jason and Ryan are both participating in. Sure, I'm loving how both my boys need to put together video reviewers or, even better, write up detailed reviews of different games. It's such a great way to get them more involved with writing and blogging. But Nintendo also sends loads of great goodies. Not just great games but fun, interactive items too. This week, the boys got a holiday card from our friends at Nintendo. It was so cute, I just had to share ...

Kid Review: Captain Toad Treasure Tracker is Loaded With Surprises

Game: Captain Toad Treasure Tracker Reviewer: Ryan, Age 9 Ever loved playing Captain Toad in Super Mario 3D World? Well it’s a whole entire game now. Captain Toad Treasure Tracker is the game made up of a bunch of Captain Toad levels just like the ones in Super Mario 3D World. In each level there are 3 gems. You don’t need to collect every single one but they help you unlock later levels in the game. It is a strategy puzzle 3D game. It’s easy in the beginning (like normal) and gets harder the farther you go (again like, normal). There are also challenges at the  bottom of each page. (The levels are in booklets) These challenges don’t ...

Sorry for the delay on this post, it's been a long time coming! But last month, Nintendo sent a Thanksgiving box of goodies for the boys! It was loaded with fun Thanksgiving activities and all sorts of Nintendo game awesomeness. First up were some Amiibo figures! We've all been dying to try these new figures out ever since they were announced. Nintendo was kind enough to send over three figures: Mario, Link and Kirby! These figures work with certain games like Super Smash Bros. Wii U and Mario Kart 8 to unlock various costumes, levels and more. They're also just really cool to play with and beautifully designed! Of course, you need a ...

Kid Review: Super Smash Bros. Wii U is ‘Best Game Ever Made’

Game: Super Smash Bros. Wii U Reviewer: Jason, Age 11 This is the best game ever made! All the modes, characters and stages make Super Smash Bros. Wii U WAY better than the 3DS version. Doesn’t matter if you are battling Master Hand, hitting a sandbag, taking on every character in the game - this is so much fun. There are 51 characters to chose from and 1 DLC character to come in the spring (Mewtwo). Some examples are Mario, Sonic, Pac-Man, Mega Man, Little Mac, Ness, Wii Fit Trainer, and so many more. You can choose from 46 stages and 1 DLC stage (Miiverse). Some examples are Mario Galaxy, Gamer, Battlefield, Big Battlefield, Garden of ...

The Mario Kart 8 Wii U Bundle Giveaway! (Ends 12/1)

Nintendo is just way too much fun of a company. Their games are just full of the cutest little details, particularly sound effects and phrases. It's a mishmash of anything and everything Nintendo and it's styled in a really appealing manner. Seriously, how adorable does that look?
