Is Ant-Man Joining the Avengers?

Marvel’s rollercoaster ride of action-packed movies keep on rolling. Now that Avengers: Age of Ultron is out, next up on the list is Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man.

I’ve always loved Ant-Man in the comics. Though I prefer the original Hank Pym as Ant-Man to his successor Scott Lang. And then I absolutely loved when Pym stepped things up a notch and became Yellow Jacket! Sure he was a bit off his rocker, but he looked damn cool in that costume. Plus, he’s wearing black and yellow, so I like to think he’s a Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

I have no idea what to expect from the Ant-Man movie. When Guardians of the Galaxy was first announced, I’ll admit I groaned. I couldn’t believe they even picked that property to make as a movie, and shuddered to think how atrocious characters like Groot and Rocket Raccoon would turn out on screen.

I couldn’t have been more wrong with Guardians and it’s probably one of my Top 3 favorite Marvel films right now. (Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Avengers being the other two.). So I’m hoping Ant-Man is as wacky, fun as the trailers have made it out to be.

And now that Marvel’s released a trio of new movie posters, I”m even more jazzed about it. I’m also curious if they’re finally going to bring Ant-Man into the Avengers fold!

Take a look:

AntManYes, these posters are a riot and tie Ant-Man right into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But they also make me believe that the little guy is going to be an Avenger soon. Especially since he’s supposedly set to appear in Captain America: Civil War (May 6, 2016) that will feature a gaggle of superheroes fighting off against one another.

Considering Hank Pym’s mega ties to the Avengers in the comic books, I’d have to think Ant-Man will finally get his day as an Avenger. If not, well, Marvel’s just selling the guy short!

What do you think about Ant-Man?
